With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sharon Hofeling of Wymore, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sharon left this world on September 26, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Scheideler and Hazel Belle Scheideler (Weyer); her son Darryl Hofeling; her siblings, Carol Lempka (Vince), Claire Scheideler and John Scheideler; and her nephew David Lempka.
She is survived by: her daughter Valerie Meints (Todd) of Sturgis, SD; her grandsons, Tyler Meints (Stacia) of Sioux Falls, SD and Clayton Meints of Sturgis, SD; her niece Kathy Evans (Mark); her great-niece Kayla Evans; her cousin Larry Behrends; and her caregivers, Dawn Lautenschlager and Shaylee Siefker.
The lying in state will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home (505 N 9th St, Wymore, NE 68466). Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Wymore Cemetery. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Foundation with the funeral home in charge.
