David George Reetz Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David George Reetz of York, Nebraska, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Reetz and Irene Reetz (Vorderstrasse); his wife Deanna May (Jensen); and his siblings, Paul Reetz (Gayle), Thomas Reetz (Monika), Barb Shearer (Albert) and Rose Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Reetz (Shirley), Deb Reetz of York and Julie Wellman (David) of Waco; and his brothers, Roger Reetz (Bernie) of Seward and Mark Reetz of Omaha. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wessels Living History Farm Church (5520 S Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be directed to Mission Central in Mapleton, Iowa.
