With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. Walbrecht of York, Nebraska, who passed away on September 3, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Albert and Arlene Beatrice Walbrecht (Meyer); and his former wife Raine (Lisa Walbrecht). He is survived by: his son Christian Walbrecht of York; his grandson Matt Walbrecht (Nahleen) of Fairmont, NE; his great grandchildren, Nikoli and Malcom; his siblings, Janice Gendron (Ed) of Noblesville, Marcia Valbracht (Mike Ramirez) of Des Moines, Marvin Walbrecht (Pete) of York and Barbara McPhillip (Ron); and his nephews, Chris Walbrecht (Tammi Sahling) of York, Justin Sugg, Tim Gendron, Jeff Gendron and Bobby Gendron.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Metz Chapel (109 S Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
