She was predeceased by : her parents, August Epke and Bertha Epke (Meyer); her husband Duane Kenneth Mauer; her daughter Connie; and her sister Dona.

She is survived by : her children, Randy Mauer (Crystal) of York and Marci Mauer-Hecker of Olathe, KS; her grandchildren, Kiley Mattox (Tanner) of Bellevue, NE, Sasha Rupert (Tyler) of Lincoln, NE, Kayma Benson (Grant) of Lincoln, NE, Kendall Bolte (Preston) of York and Christopher Mauer (Grace) of Roseville, MN; and her sisters, Jody Droze of Stanton, NE and Nyla Olson of Manhattan, KS.. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Church, or Wessels Living History Farm in York.
