She was predeceased by: her parents, William Smid and Mary Smid; her husband Ernie; her siblings, Mildred and Leonard; and her son-in-law William Heiden.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Sklenar (Mary) of York, Marilyn Larson of Red Oak, IA and Nancy Hunter (Royce) of Albany, OR; her grandchildren, Katherine Francis (Chuck), Jolene DeLong (Michael), Michael Sklenar, Paul Sklenar (Julie), Rebecca Sklenar, Sherri Maberry (Gale), Jessica Bryant, James Bryant, Angela Heiden and Dalton Larson (Nicole); and her siblings, Milton Smid of Lincoln, NE and Doris Moellenbrandt of Aurora, NE. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great- great-grandchildren.
