It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald P. Gates of Amherst, New Hampshire, who passed away on May 25, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James N. Gates and Virginia F. Gates; his grandson Ryan Neumann; and his brother David Gates. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Belmore Gates of Amherst, NH; his children, Harold Bennett (Jecel) of Middleton, NH, James Gates (Dale) of Townsend, Peter Gates (Whitney Elefsrud) of Amherst, NH, Mary Gates of Somerville and Jamie Leclerc (Michael) of Troy, NH.; and his grandchildren, Gabriel Stevens, Isabella Gates, Charlie Gates, Wyatt Gates, George Gates and Empress Hanna Paculanang.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (250 Main St, Townsend, MA 01469). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home - Townsend (250 Main St, Townsend, MA 01469).
