He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Anna Rosena Dalton (Gallisath); his siblings, Sharon Sonnenfeld (Dalton), Keith and Duane Dalton; and his brother-in-law Gerald Hanten.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Plaza; his sons, Jeffrey Dalton (Richard Taranto) and Steven Dalton (Allison); his grandchildren, Alec and Erin Dalton; his siblings, Carol Hanten (late Gerald) of Webster, SD, Donna Johnson (Steve) of Watertown, SD, Kenneth Dalton (Marilynn) of Littleton, CO, Lowell Dalton (Barbara) of Clark, SD and Angela Dalton (late Duane Dalton) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his brother-in-law Quentin Sonnenfeld. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
