Calliope Samaras Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Calliope Samaras of Atkinson, New Hampshire. Calliope, born on October 24, 1932, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William and Triada Bougioukas (Karabetsos); her husband Dr. Nicholas; and her sons-in-law, George N. Valvanis and Jeffrey A. McQuate.
She is survived by: her children, Triada Samaras, Mari (R. Charles White), Valessia Samaras, Thea Valvanis and George (Doris Samaras); her grandchildren, Liam Veuve, Leopold N. Veuve (Kathryn), R. Charles White Jr. (Aislinn), Kalliope R. White (Scott Easey), James T. White (Kaitlyn), Alec S. White, George N. Valvanis, Jr. (Sarah), Nicholas T. Valvanis, Maria V. Valvanis, William J. Valvanis, Nicholas G. Samaras (Tatiana), Kristoffer N. Samaras and Caroline C. Samaras; her great grandchildren, Ellie, Quinn, Kallie, Ellis, Owen, Nico, Arlo, Thomas, Lane, Hollis, Olivia, Vivian, Nundy and George; and her caregiver Desny Rojas.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church (154 Winter St, Haverhill, MA 01830). A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Linwood Cemetery (41 John Ward Ave, Haverhill, MA 01830).
