He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Mitchell and Elizabeth Mitchell (Stewart) of Lawrence; and his brothers, John S. Mitchell (Arlene) and Charles B. Mitchell (Marie). He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughters, Barbara Strzykalski (Gerald), Mary Beth Gallahue (Michael), Susan Mitchell, Kathleen Mitchell and Andrea Mitchell; and his grandchildren, Daved Strzykalski, Alyssa Strzykalski, Andrew Strzykalski, Luka Gunter and Grace Gunter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
