With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander Sutherland Jr. of Bath, New Hampshire, born in New Canaan, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Alexander departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Alexander. Though Alexander may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife Isabelle Sutherland (Raymond); and his son Brett Sutherland. He is survived by: his son Alexander Sutherland III (Jean) of Benton, NH; his granddaughter Kimberly "Kim" Chicoine (Jared) of Gilmanton, NH; his great grandchildren, Leila and Mae Chicoine of Gilmanton, NH; and his sister Dorothy Stockmar. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (20 Elm St, Woodsville, NH 03785).
