He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Mary Rue Rogers, Morris D. Lee of Linden, TN, Beulah Tatum and Max Spiess of Hohenwald, TN; his stepfather Danny Gilley; his nephew William Spiess; and his great-nephew Jeremy.
He is survived by: his parents, Karen Fay Gilley of Decaturville, TN and Larry Harding Spiess; his wife Lisa Picconi Spiess; his daughters, Lillian Kaufmann Spiess and Ember Iris Spiess of Canaan, NH; his stepmother Joann Spiess of Dyersburg, TN; his siblings, Christopher Spiess of Columbia, TN and Ashley Lauren Spiess-Nay (Shaun) of Hohenwald, TN; and his siblings' children, Ethan Spiess, Lucas Nay, Tatum Nay, Anna Spiess and Diana Nay.
