The family announces the passing of Agnes Slavin in Charlestown, New Hampshire on September 28, 2026. Agnes, born on July 20, 1937, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred George and Stella George (Cote); her husband Richard Slavin; her sisters, Loriane Brown, Doris Beaulieu and Gloria George Lique; her brothers-in-law, Merel Lique and George Granger; and her son Thomas Slavin.
She is survived by: her sister Barber George Granger; her children, Richard Slavin, Jr. (Karen), Pauline Slavin, Jennifer Slavin, Danielle Peterson (Matthew), Orion Slavin, Caitlyn Slavin and Christina Slavin; and her grandchildren, Jackie Ames, Emily Higgins, Jessik Nelson, Teysha Kendall-Griffin (Eric), Heather Stuart (Jeff), Samantha Slavin, Erin Slavin, Kristen Slavin, Zander Slavin and Dominik Richardson. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nephews, aunts and cousins, as well as the many children.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home (42 Main St, Newport, NH 03773). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Eastman Cemetery (490 N Rd, Sunapee, NH 03782). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the South Congregational Church (20 Church St, Newport, NH 03773).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Wounded Warrior Veterans, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or your local animal shelter.
