He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Theodore MacLean and Elsie MacLean (Belbin); his children, Cheryl MacLean-Smith, Marc MacLean, Ryan MacLean and Nick MacLean; his grandchildren, Isabel Smith, Abi Smith, Aidan MacLean and Shay MacLean; and his brother Robert MacLean.

“Hi- I was a friend of Ian's in Wolfeboro, NH. We hung out during the summer months at his antique shop there, and had alot of laughs. He was one of my favorite people in New Hampshire, and I am quite saddened to see him pass. I'll miss him every day when I make the drive into town. I know of his health struggles in recent years, and I find some comfort in knowing that now he doesn't have to fight. My deepest condolences to his family.”
