As we bid Karen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Karen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her mother Glenna Appelbe; and her brother Stephen Appelbe. She is survived by: her father Joseph Appelbe; and her daughters, Lindsay LaBranche and Jillian LaBranche.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home - Crematory (811 Lafayette Rd, Hampton, NH 03842).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, an organization committed to finding a cure for the disease that took Karen from us far too soon.
