He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Sorel and Phillipia Sorel. He is survived by: his wife Matilda Dorothea Sorel (Helmholtz); his sons, Leo A. Sorel and Arthur C. Sorel; and his stepdaughters, Brenda, Rayleen, Mary and Sally. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
