Chester R. Colby Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chester R. Colby of Concord, New Hampshire, born in Franklin, New Hampshire, who passed away on June 17, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Chester may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Chester touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Howard Colby and Marjorie L. Colby (Morrill); his niece Erica Smith; and his nephew Jack Adair. He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon Adair, Michael Colby (Shirley), Ray Colby (Sheilah), Lynne Brennan, Janice Alarie (Charlie) and Deborah McHenry (Robert). He is also survived by the child that he helped raise, Melanie Adair-Lavin, and several nieces and nephews.
