He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar K. Towle and Dorothy Towle (French); and his siblings, Vernon, Barbara Preve and Carolyn Pedeare.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Towle (Hoadley); his children, Bradley (Susan), Kendra Holden (Robert) and Kathryn Valley (Douglas); his grandchildren, Joshua, James, Ashley, Melissa, Brandon, Jacob and Rivkah; and his brother Robert.

“A man I greatly admired and loved. Jim loved the Lord and served Him well during his lifetime. Jim will hear "Well done ye faithful servant." Jim ran the race and finished his job here on earth.
