She was predeceased by: her brother Kenneth Tarr; her parents, Frank Kelly Gately and Mary Gately (Sears); her sister Margaret Thorpe (Gately); her husband Ken Tarr; and her brother Francis.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Tarr (Sandra) of Concord, Michael Tarr (Diana) of Fairfax, Virginia, Tracey Tarr of Bow, John Tarr (Carolyn) of North Falmouth, Mass and Betty; her grandchildren, Lori Derosier (Mike), Derek Tarr, Gayle Miller, Colin Tarr (Charlotte), Alissa Tarr, Aaron Phinney (Kayla), Andrew Phinney, Rachel Wells, Liam Wells, Caitlyn Almeida (Andrew), Julia Tarr and Isabel Tarr; her great grandchildren, Jacob Derosier, Matthew Derosier, McKenzie Tarr, Chloe Tarr, Carter Tarr, Coleman Tarr, Xavier Evans, Vanessa Evans, Alina Phinney, Adalyn Phinney, Emily Almeida, Madelyn Almeida, Caleb Almeida, Lylah Almeida and Zachary Almeida; her brother-in-law Howard Thorpe of Concord; and her nieces, Kathy Haddock, Betsy Thorpe and Jackie Thorpe.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bennett Funeral Home (209 N Main St, Concord, NH 03301). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
Betty's family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Edna McKenna Trust Fund, Merrimack County Nursing Home, 325 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, New Hampshire 03303, or to a charity of your choice.
