He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruth Abbott Estes (Bishop) and Philip Vernon Estes; his sisters, Mary Estes Krohn, Ruth Estes Weeks and Margaret Estes; his wife Gisela Behrendt; his children, Heide and Christopher; his brother Robert Estes (Lois); his half-siblings, Allison Wallace Estes (GL Estes Wallace), Penny Estes, Philis Rogers and Philip Estes; his grandson Zeke Estes Morse; and his nieces and nephews, Carolyn Bumatay (Randolph), Robina Behrendt, Harold Weeks III, Robert Estes Jr. (Shari), Richard Estes (Margueritta), Alexandre Saad (Christiane), Mark Behrendt (Ute Fischer), Uwe Behrendt (Claudia), Edward Behrendt, Jordan Browne, Xander Browne and Orion Browne. He was also cherished by cousins, great-nieces.
