We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2023, at the age of 72, Donald Athearn of Derry, New Hampshire, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Frederick Athearn and Mary Athearn (Malcolm); and his sister Judy Athearn. He is survived by : his wife Ann Marie Athearn (Cote); his sons, Tad C. Athearn (Melissa Dubois) and Scott A. Athearn (Erica); his granddaughters, Evangeline and Elizabeth; his sister Jean Daigle (Joseph); and also Sanjana Kumar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

“Ann Marie and family, our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Donald. He was one of our very first welcoming neighbors from the moment we moved here. Friendly and outgoing to us both. We will remember you and he going out on the bike, or a Sunday ride in the classic car. To see him driving it last month, brought a smile to my face.
