Joan Ruby (Rand) Hayes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Ruby (Rand) Hayes (Derry, New Hampshire), born in Norton, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 20, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Rand (Little) and Hollis Rand; her sister Jane Justice; and her husbands, Charles F. Belcher III (Charlie) and David F. Hayes.

She is survived by: her sons, Gary Belcher (Eileen Fitzgerald) of Gloucester, MA and Craig Belcher (Pamela (Ford) Belcher) of Eliot, ME; her grandchildren, Amy King (Tristan) and Ryan Belcher; her grandson-in-law Aidan Fitzgerald; and her sisters, Sally Child and Pamela DeLong (Paul). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to either Gloucester's Lanesville Community Center, or the cancer research center or animal shelter of your choice.
