He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Dexter Sr. and Florence Dexter (Kessler). He is survived by: his wife Jeanine Dexter of Derry; his children, Bryan Dexter (JoAnne) of Manchester, NH and Dawn McDonough (Patrick) of Westford, MA; his grandsons, Evan and Mitchell Dexter; his stepgrandchildren, Thomas, Ryan and Connor McDonough; and his sisters, Claradell Anderson (Frederick) of Epsom, NH, Lauren Baker (Charles) of New Canaan, CT and Sharon Tower (Douglas Brown) of Deerfield, NH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
