She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mcmanus and Mary Mcmanus (Miller); her husband Richard G Stapleton; her sister Patrica Benevenuto; and her sons-in-law, Brian Whalen and Ned Barrett.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Garuti (Alici) of Lynn, Mass, Joanne Mitchell (Scott) of Dover, NH, Katherine Flynn (Thomas) of Dover, NH, Marysue Barrett of Lynn, Daniel Garuri (Irene) of Nashua, NH and Jennifer Whalen of Lynn, Mass.; and her brothers, Michael (Linda McManus), Timothy McManus of Peabody Mass, Phillip (Jean McManus) and Scott McManus. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
