William left this world on December 16, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sloan and Lilian MacBride (MacDonald); his brother Arthur Sloan MacBride; his nephew Donald; and his cousin Tom Andrews.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta MacBride (Russell) of Durham; and his children, David Scott (Jill) and Colleen Ann (Scotty).
