He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Mitchell (Endes); and his children, Jason S. Mitchell of Siler City, NC, Michael Mitchell of Oregon, Ryan Murray of Kingston, NH and Nichole Ryan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
