She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Stanley Poyer and Anne Bergeson; her siblings, David, Robert Poyer and June Poyer Fornander; and her nephew John Mark Shaffer.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Shaffer; her son David Shaffer (Linda) of Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Alexandra, Harrison and Mitchell; her son Peter Shaffer (Maryanne) of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Guy Thomas and Victoria Anne; and her sibling's children, Karl Fornander, Daniel Shaffer, Matthew Shaffer, Joseph Shaffer, Kyle Shaffer and Kim Fornander Shell.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mariann's memory may be made to Community Lutheran Church of Enfield, NH. (PO Box 450).
