He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Arthur T. Hertig and Linda Woodworth Hertig; his former wife Anne-Rose (Schröder); and his sister Helen Craig. He is survived by: his wife Jane Carr of Hingham, MA; his daughter Stephanie Taylor (Peter) of Gt; his grandchildren, Paige, Jane Taylor, Lydia and Edward McDonald; and his sister-in-law Siegtraud Schneck (Johann) of Hannover, Germany.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Phillips Church (61 Front St, Exeter, NH 03833).
