She is survived by : her sons, Michael Dickerson (Barbara) and John Dickerson (Melissa); her grandchildren, Leonie, Henri, Ferdinand, Mary, Thomas, David, Doug and Daniel; her great grandchildren, Emma, Harper, Averie, Allison and Katie; her nephew Bill; and her nieces, Cynthia and Gina.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Joan M. Dickerson.
