She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul James Shanahan Sr. and Mary Eva Shanahan (Dirsa); and her siblings, Kathryn, Elizabeth, Theresa and Peter.

She is survived by : her brother Paul Shanahan Jr.; her sister-in-law Constance Catrone; her brother David; and her sister-in-law Anne Shanahan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
