He is survived by : his daughter Suzanne; his son-in-law John Lane; his daughter Heather; his son-in-law Shawn Donovan; his son Richard Goldthwaite II; his grandchildren, Patrick, Phoebe Wall, Kristen, Chris Adams, Meghan Wall, Richard Goldthwaite III (Randall), Katelyn, Chris Workman and Haley Donovan; and his great grandchildren, Christopher Workman, Josephine Adams, Amelia Goldthwaite, Annalise Adams and Linden Goldthwaite.
