He was predeceased by: his parents, Noland Purington and Dorothy Purington (Bouchard); his wife Rose "Rosie" Bourdon; his children, Weymouth Joseph "Joe" Purington and Melanie Lyn Goodstein; and his sister Elizabeth "Babe" Gagnon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lindell Purington and Darlene Purington; and his stepson Brian Bourdon. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
