She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph E. Mawson; her parents, Arthur Berndtson and Bernice T. Berndtson (Towne); her son-in-law Joseph U. Therrien; her granddaughter Elizabeth Adams; and her sisters, Joanne French and Barbara White.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jane E. Toohey (James M.) of Bedford and Teresa M. Therrien of Fremont; her sister Marilyn Noble of Lawrence, Massachusetts; and her grandchildren, Katie Brough, Maggie Duprey, Mollie Tompkins, Emily Adams, Joe Therrien and Danny Therrien. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Methuen Family Funeral Home (233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA 01844). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
