With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Dechene of Gilford, New Hampshire, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Virginia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virginia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rathbun and Ora Rathbun (Denoncour); and her brothers, Charles and James Rathbun of Laconia, NH.. She is survived by: her spouse Henry'Hank'Dechene; her sisters, Deborah Etchell (Rathbun) of Belmont, NH, Pamela Tavares (Rathbun) of Cranston, RI and Diana Woodruff (Rathbun) of Warwick, RI.; her daughters, Michelle Audet (Dechene) and Amie Drew (Dechene); and her granddaughter Taylor Drew. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
