Graham Groves wrote a sympathy message

“Probably the longest of acquaintances of Duncan, we grew up in Darien, Connecticut as my mother was his governess and Lewis Cullman's live in housekeper. He taught me to ski at age five in the back yard. Then he would drag me over to the Country Club of Darien, acting as his sherpa, carying slalom gate poles. IWe lived together for about nine years until he left the New Cannan Day School for the Holderness School in Holderness, New Hampshire around 1667 or so before he won the Mt. Washington Inferno race in April of 1969. I lost track of him except for a breif encounter in Twin Mountain in the early 70's Like a vapor, he was again out of my life until I received a postcard from him in South Fork Colorado, after which we kept in touch, until we had a chance to ski in the bar league together., where he got me skiing after a long absence, sending me first down the bunny hill, then up to a double diamond run which terrified me, but got me racing, always comkng in last. I last spoke to him the Thursday before his Saturday passing. Ill miss my "Brotha"”
