He is survived by: his wife Vina Summerton (Hamilton) of Hampstead; his sons, Greg Summerton (Andrea) of Limington, Maine, Gary Summerton (Cheryl) of Sunapee and Glen Summerton (Ronni) of Hampstead; and his sister Marion Gabriel of Canada.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eric's honor to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm.
