He was predeceased by: his father Bruce McClelland; and his cousin Richard Chapin. He is survived by: his mother Carol Lee Sawyer (Chapin) of Cape Elizabeth, ME; his wife Kristen Rand McClelland; his children, Olivia McClelland and Angus McClelland; his brother Chip McClelland; his siblings-in-law, Bob and Sherry Rand of North Hampton, NH; his aunt Marie Chapin (Mimi); his cousins, Christopher Plumley, Allan R. Plumley III, Carolyn P. Stombock (VA) and Carol (Missy); his nephews, Christopher, Chipper and Patrick McClelland; his half-brother Peter Kullgren; and his pet Hammer.
He devoted time and efforts to the Heather Abbott Foundation which benefits amputees and appeared on TV and in other media streams to draw focus to the needs of the amputation community.
