He is survived by: his mother Sally Lewis (Wiggin) of Venice, FL; his brother Jimmy; his stepfather Calvin Lewis; his sons, Clay and James T. Cates of Dover, NH; his brothers, Ronald Cates of Plymouth, MA and Bradford Cates of Plymouth, MA; his nephews, Kyle and Cameron; and his niece Caroline.
