He was predeceased by: his wife Lynda McIlveen; and his brothers, Billy, Bob, Dickie, Charlie and Kenny.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ann Willard and Nobby McIlveen; his children, Tami Huerta and Jim McIlveen Jr.; his children-in-law, Sal Huerta and Lisa McIlveen; and his friend Donna Walton.
