He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Steven Arend and Mary "Mae" Arend (Benecke); his wife Lee; his sons, Geoffrey Arend (Rachel) and Joshua Arend (Karen); and his grandchildren, Madeleine Arend and Charles Arend.
