It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helena Louis Smith (Haverhill, New Hampshire), who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orison "Joe" Smith and Helen Smith (Rathburn); her former husband Michael Harris; her son Michael Scott Harris; and her brothers, Stanley and William Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michele Harris of West Topsham, VT and Monica King (Jeff) of North Haverhill, NH; her grandchildren, Ashleigh Meagher (Brian) of Brownsville, VT and Dakota Downing; and her siblings, Ronald Smith (Amanda), Daniel Smith (Lydia), Doug Rathburn and Brenda Smith (Charlie Coulstring) of Benton, NH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville (1 Birch St, Woodsville, NH 03785). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
