She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Bevan; and her parents, Carmen Longo and Philomena Longo (DeRosa). She is survived by: her daughter Sheri Sharkey (Patrick); her grandson Jack; her brothers, Anthony "Tony" Longo and Carmen "Butch" Longo; her sister-in-law Lillian; her siblings' children, A. J. Longo, Robert "Bobby" Bevan, Barri Bevan, Laura Longo and Valerie Longo-Boudrow; her adoptive mother Melinda Henneberry; her close friend Gerry Kinney; Tom, Sara and Madison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salem Animal Rescue League or the MSPCA in Methuen, MA, in honor of Joan's deep love for animals.
