It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Colby (Laconia, New Hampshire), who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Ervin Colby and Estella R. Colby (James). He is survived by: his daughters, Katharine Colby Major (David Major) and Janet Giles (Angela); his sister Joanne Clark; his half-brother Jon Colby; his grandchildren, Jillian Knudsen (Justin), Keely Major, Riley Major (Bradley Woods), Colby Giles and Cooper Giles; and his great grandchild Odin Knudsen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home (164 Pleasant St, Laconia, NH 03246). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bayside Cemetery (1345 Union Ave, Laconia, NH 03246).
