In the sacred silence of farewell, Lorraine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Lorraine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Russell MacNeill and Gertrude MacNeill; her husband Edward Richards; her children, Howard (Brenda Richards), Joyce (David Evans), Carol (Daniel DeVries) and Jennifer (Jeffrey Velie); and her sister-in-law Dottie MacNeill. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, and the dearest of friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Presbyterian Church (174 Province St, Laconia, NH 03246).
In lieu of flowers, it was Penny's request that donations be made in her memory to either Abe and Rachel Powell, c/o Grace Presbyterian Church, 174 Province Street, Laconia, NH 03246 for their overseas work in Language Studies, or to Massachusetts General Hospital Pediatric Oncology Unit (giving.massgeneral.org/donate).
