He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry M. McDermott and Martha McDermott (Kilnkowstein); his wife Carla McDermott (Moskowitz); his brother Robert McDermott; his mother-in-law Betty Moskowitz; and his brothers-in-law, Alan Moskowitz and Richard Helinski (Irene Provencher).
He is survived by: his children, Michael McDermott (Wendy), Michele Marks (Tim) and Kelly Dimitroff (Rama); his sister Penny Marcotte; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Helinski and Leslie Moskowitz. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
