He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle W. Phelps and Doris E. Phelps (Greenan); his siblings, Michael Phelps and Joanne Borda; his brother-in-law James Borda; his nephews, Scott Borda and Richard Borda; and his great grandchild Christopher Eleva.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Laker-Phelps; his children, Mark R. Phelps of Tilton, NH, Brenda Major of Ocala, FL and Lisa J. Phelps (Doug Montgomery) of Barnstead, NH; his daughter-in-law Linda Phelps of Keene, NH; his brother Paul W. Phelps (Mary Lou Phelps) of Franklin, NH; his sisters-in-law, Valerie Laker of Manchester, NH and Alice Phelps of Allenstown, NH; and his grandchildren, Jessica Hakemier, Melissa Moore (John), Benjamin Phelps (Chelsea), Ian Phelps and Aaron Phelps. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and three nieces and three nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in Dick's name be made to the (awesome) Granite VNA, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH 03301.
