She was predeceased by: her parents, Alphonse Demers and Esther Demers (Elder); her husband Richard; her son Eric Ashey; and her stepson-in-law Wes Tavizon.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Ashey (Rachelle) and Leslie Newman (Joe); her grandchildren, Julia Bartolotti (Matthew), Emily Gravenhorst (Elijah), Taylor Fletcher (Jessika), Josh Ashey (Tara) and Mitch Ashey (Darcy); and her stepchildren, Nancy, Donald (Denise), Wayne (Raina), David Houle (Karen), Linda Tavizon, Coleen Poire and Judy Shevlin (Jim). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
