He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Earl Byron Sr. and Gertrude Isabelle Byron (Weller); and his siblings, Leroy Earl Byron Jr., Eleanor Mckenzie, Geneva Inman and Elizabeth Hall.

He is survived by: his wife Diana; and his daughters, Kristy Nelson and Sarah Lord. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces, nephew, and cousins.
