He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Schaefer (Cusano); his son Mark E. Schaefer; and his parents, Erwin Schaefer and Mary Schaefer (Wimmer). He is survived by: his children, Matthew A. Schaefer (Robin) of Colleyville and Marlene G. Rotering (Steven) of Windham; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Caroline, Mark and Grace.
