She was predeceased by: her parent Frank Bernard; her brother James Bernard; and her former husband Joseph Mulé. She is survived by: her husband Robert Therrien; her children, John Bernard, Chrystal Smith (Robert Raulerson) and Brandan Santos; her siblings, T'uma Bernard, Mark Bernard, John Arthur Bernard and Mary Bernard; her grandchildren, Dylan Dipesa Serven, Tayla Smith, Mia Bernard, Piper Bernard and Malani "Izzy" Santos; Christina Therrien. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brenda's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
