She was predeceased by: her father Clarence Normil; her stepfather Rafael Hernandez; and her sister Maria Normil. She is survived by: her husband Paris Abate; her children, Edward Allen, Charles Normil, Adam Cumberbatch (Nicole), Mercedes Santiago (Felix) and Melody Cumberbatch; her mother Maria Hernandez-Gonzalez; her siblings, Clarence Normil, Rafael Hernandez, Magdalena Jones (Bernard), David Normil, Diana Normil of St. Thomas, DeJahnae Williams-Rainey and Shante Williams; her stepchildren, Corey Abate, Amanda Abate and Anthony Abate; and also Rebekah. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
